Scope
At a meeting of Holy Trinity’s church council on Wednesday, July 30, a unanimous decision was made to offer a 12-month, non-called Supplemental Clergy Role to Pastor Bonnie Gerber. As such, Pastor Bonnie and Holy Trinity will have the opportunity to settle into an arrangement of knowing she will be the one to provide pulpit supply and pastoral coverage whenever Pastor Steve is away, while also adding several other pastoral responsibilities that have often been covered by seminary interns in the past.  Compensation has been calculated using an hourly rate commensurate with the experience of a large church senior pastor but less than the annual funding for an intern. Both Pastor Bonnie and Holy Trinity will have opportunity annually to consider renewal of this arrangement.

 Term
- September 1, 2025 - August 31, 2026
- Renewable window opens June 1, 2026

 Responsibilities
- Preaching and Presiding up to 15 Sundays during the year:
   • 6-8 Sundays when Pastor Steve is away
   • 7-9 other Sundays as negotiated between Pastor Bonnie and Pastor Steve 3 months or more in advance
   • Any special exceptions for preaching coverage with less than three months-notice would be negotiated, first with Pastor Bonnie and then, as necessary, with other available preachers in the area
- Up to 12 teaching and presentation events scheduled according to Pastor Bonnie’s availability
- Splitting Hospital and Homebound Calling
- Pastoral Care Coverage for the congregation whenever Pastor Steve is away
- No administrative or meeting responsibilities are required

 Compensation
- Less than the ~$20,000 annual funding for an intern
