In order to honor God through our giving, our giving should cost us something.  In the words of King David, “I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing” (2 Samuel 24:24).  To be able to give in a way that costs us something, we need to make Jesus our first priority.  Giving the Lord our first fruits rather than our leftovers reflects the priority that we give to the Lord.  If we choose to give God our leftovers or only a small token amount, we dishonor Him.  God, who has created and redeemed us, deserves our first and best.  For more information, contact Max Buban at maxmbuban82@gmail.com.
