B.R.E.A.D. (Building Responsibility, Equality And Dignity) is an organization of 44 congregations in central Ohio that work together to advocate for solutions to serious problems in the Columbus area. B.R.E.A.D. identifies specific problems and workable solutions to create issues. The congregations then bring the power of people to these issues so that public officials are encouraged to apply evidence-based solutions to the problems. Current B.R.E.A.D. issues relate to affordable housing, group violence, environmental justice, juvenile justice, and municipal identification. Over 2000 people representing B.R.E.A.D. will meet with several public officials on Tuesday, April 25thto call for action.
B.R.E.A.D. is an advocacy ministry that has been active in Columbus since 1997. It gets results because of the power of people standing together. If you are interested in this ministry, please contact David Kriska at davidkrisk@sbcglobal.net.

First Corinthians 16:2 urges us to give regularly, proportionately, and of our first fruits. When love for God becomes the motivating force behind our giving, we will find ourselves following that exhortation joyfully, freely, cheerfully. Week after week, we will give our tithe or beyond, writing out that check before we pay our bills. A love-motivated commitment puts God in charge. God promises to take care of us. God will meet our needs, and we give out of love for God and God’s people. For more information about stewardship, please contact Max Buban.

Welcome to my running online dialog on matters of our life together in faith community at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church—where the grace of Christ Jesus our Lord engages each of us and, in turn, sends us out to engage others with that grace as well. I look forward to learning and growing together.
