Across the United States, Lutherans reach out to those in need through Lutheran World Relief’s Quilt & Kit Ministry. The quilts and kits dedicated during last week’s worship service make a difference in the lives of people all around the world. On Wednesday, October 4, the Beacons of Holy Trinity packed 114 health kits, 45 school kits, 21 quilts, 1 fleece blanket, and 316 bars of soap given by members of our church. Thank you one and all! Thanks, too, to everyone who contributed pennies and loose change throughout the year to help offset the cost of shipping the items to the LWR headquarters in Baltimore and overseas. If you’d like to find out more about the Beacons ministry, please join them the first Wednesday of the month at 9:00 am in the conference room.
About this blog
Welcome to my running online dialog on matters of our life together in faith community at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church—where the grace of Christ Jesus our Lord engages each of us and, in turn, sends us out to engage others with that grace as well. I look forward to learning and growing together.
