What brings you contentment? A glowing fireplace and a good book? Maybe it’s a career with opportunity for advancement and a large balance in your checking account. Maybe it’s a devoted spouse and loving, obedient children. These are all blessings from God, but Paul tells us that the secret of contentment is not found in things. “I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation,” he writes in Philippians 4:12-13. “I can do everything through God who gives me strength.” For more information on stewardship, please contact Max Buban.
About this blog
Welcome to my running online dialog on matters of our life together in faith community at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church—where the grace of Christ Jesus our Lord engages each of us and, in turn, sends us out to engage others with that grace as well. I look forward to learning and growing together.
