Jesus told us not to worry about our lives, what we’ll eat, or what we’ll wear. He promised that, as God cared for the grass which is temporal, God will care far more for us (Luke 12:27-28). He told us that freedom from worry over temporal things lies in giving away our possessions and seeking God’s kingdom. “But seek His kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. Do not be afraid little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted…” (Luke 12:31-33). For more information on stewardship, please contact Max Buban.
About this blog
Welcome to my running online dialog on matters of our life together in faith community at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church—where the grace of Christ Jesus our Lord engages each of us and, in turn, sends us out to engage others with that grace as well. I look forward to learning and growing together.
