In Matthew 11:29-30 Jesus said Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. The yoke that Jesus is referring to is understood to be our Christian life. Once we have assumed His yoke, God’s commandments are no longer a heavy burden that weighs us down. Instead, we see them, by God’s grace, as expressions of God’s will written into our hearts. To express our gratitude for who God is and What God has done for us, we look for ways to use our lives and resources in God’s service. For more information on stewardship, contact Max Buban.
About this blog
Welcome to my running online dialog on matters of our life together in faith community at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church—where the grace of Christ Jesus our Lord engages each of us and, in turn, sends us out to engage others with that grace as well. I look forward to learning and growing together.
