Many thanks to everyone that serves at Holy Trinity on Sundays and other times to prepare for worship. Our experience is richer because of you! While we recognize that some people appreciate being scheduled to serve at regular intervals that they can plan on, we also acknowledge some people have weekly schedules that are far less predictable. Even so, they have interest in serving when available. Holy Trinity continues to implement new resources to help match people’s gifts and interests with their availability. One such tool being introduced this week is called Walk-up Worship Help. Each week, as you arrive for worship, there will be a basket displaying various ribbons that identify opportunities for you to help serve. Whether it’s as a Communion Assistant (stoles have been used for this in the past), Usher, Acolyte, or something else, you are invited to help during the worship service as you’re able. A brief description with key tips corresponds to each opportunity so you can feel confident in serving, even if you’ve never done so in that capacity before. Please contact Laura Hudson for more information about Walk-up Worship Help or how to schedule your service times online using Signup Genius .
About this blog
Welcome to my running online dialog on matters of our life together in faith community at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church—where the grace of Christ Jesus our Lord engages each of us and, in turn, sends us out to engage others with that grace as well. I look forward to learning and growing together.
