We had 8 people from Holy Trinity helping at First English last Sunday. Three others donated food in advance of breakfast. There was a large crowd – serving at least 80 people. Liz Spiker, youth director at First English, has been dropping off boxes of food for the regular families weekly. We are helping feed 40 kids each week, plus others that show up with their parents on Thursdays and Sundays. We have kids’ bags that contain cereal, oatmeal, trail mix, a sweet treat, mac and cheese, peanut butter crackers, fruit snacks, applesauce, milk and goldfish. With monetary donations, we are buying fresh fruit and veggies to add to the boxes. We are blessed to have such a caring congregation at Holy Trinity. Pastor Sally, Liz, Sara, Jeff, I and everyone at First English can’t thank you enough for your help.
About this blog
Welcome to my running online dialog on matters of our life together in faith community at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church—where the grace of Christ Jesus our Lord engages each of us and, in turn, sends us out to engage others with that grace as well. I look forward to learning and growing together.
