While you may know that Holy Trinity prepares and serves breakfast at First English on the fourth Sunday of the month (including this week), there are plenty of other ministry activities happening there that you might also be interested in.
On Saturday, April 4 from 9:30 am-1:00 pm (lunch included), there will be a poverty simulation workshop at First English challenging partner congregations to see how their First English neighbors live day in and day out. Sara Neikirk obtained a grant for this project that strives to connect people across all classes, races, and genders. The program will be capped at 30 participants so if you’d like signup or to learn more about it, please contact Becky Warnement.
Holy Trinity’s Sisters of the Spirit will be compiling Easter baskets for a scavenger hunt taking place at First English this spring. Donations of contents for Easter baskets, especially small religious-based items, are appreciated. Contributions can be placed in the bin at the Collection & Signup Corner. The group will then gather at the Warnements’ home to put the baskets together at a later date. Any and all are invited to participate.
There are also several fundraising events occurring in March at First English to help offset legal costs for Miriam Vargas who continues to live in sanctuary there. For more information, please contact Becky Warnement.
