The Columbus Marathon, a showcase for the city, can sometimes be an obstacle for people trying to get to Holy Trinity that day. Because the racecourse encircles the church soon after 9:00 in the morning, it is easier to get in and out by attending the 8:30 worship before the roads close down. If 10:30 worship is the best fit for your schedule, however, you should try to build in a little extra time to get here and anticipate speaking with one of the police officers who are stationed along the route to direct and allow traffic to pass. For more information about the marathon and a map of the course, please go to http://www.columbusmarathon.com/course-map or pick up a map at the Holy Trinity Information Center. You may also want to consider attending the Bonfire Worship at Indian Village on Sunday evening, October 20 at 5:00 p.m. Details are available in a separate article.
About this blog
Welcome to my running online dialog on matters of our life together in faith community at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church—where the grace of Christ Jesus our Lord engages each of us and, in turn, sends us out to engage others with that grace as well. I look forward to learning and growing together.
