Of all the words in the Bible, I would guess those that have had the most impact on my adult life are, “let the children come.” And at our Step Up To Quality 5-star accredited preschool, the children do come! I’d like to share with you a portion of the Holy Trinity Child Development Program’s philosophy and purpose. “The Child Development Program at Holy Trinity is a non-profit, interracial, interfaith center established for the care and education of young children. We are committed to providing a healthy, happy and safe environment for each and every child in our care. Each child is treated as a gifted and unique creation of God. Using positive words and actions in an atmosphere of love, we strive to improve the quality of life for children and their families. The educational philosophy is based on meeting the developmental needs of young children of all cultures. Developmentally appropriate practice promotes young children’s optimal learning and development with the focus on the emotional, social, cognitive and physical needs of each child. As a ministry of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, our goal is to serve both the members of the congregation and the larger community.” Stop by and see us sometime! – Miss Nancy VanFossen
About this blog
Welcome to my running online dialog on matters of our life together in faith community at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church—where the grace of Christ Jesus our Lord engages each of us and, in turn, sends us out to engage others with that grace as well. I look forward to learning and growing together.
