As we continue to observe the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, the Southern Ohio Synod Lay School of Theology is proud to announce the 2017 Winter-Spring courses being offered at our Chillicothe and Dayton campuses. These courses are open to all lay people and are directly connected to our understanding of the Reformation and its impact on our lives today.
‘This is Most Certainly True: Experiencing Martin Luther’s Small Catechism for Today’ is being offered at the Dayton Campus at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Kettering. The instructor is our own bishop, The Rev. Suzanne Darcy Dillahunt. Registration deadline is January 10, 2017.
‘Reformation Then and Now’ is being offered at the Chillicothe Campus at Calvary Lutheran Church, Chillicothe. The instructor is Dr. Don Huber, Ph.D. Registration deadline is February 1, 2017.
The courses present an opportunity for students to enrich the fabric of their faith life; to gain more understanding of how God has been, and is still, at work in the lives of people of every age through his Word. Qualified instructors teach courses that are geared for people-in-the-pew and for people already in the position of Lay Worship Leader.
A separate registration form for each course can be downloaded below or found at the Collection & Signup Corner in the Gathering Place. Detailed information of the place, class dates and times can be found on the flyers.
