2017-2018 Concerts at Holy Trinity
Concerts at Holy Trinity is pleased to announce the seventh season in support of arts in the central Ohio area. We look forward to providing outstanding concerts for the church and community.
The 2017-2018 concert series lineup is as follows:
Sunday, September 24, 4:00 pm – Pianist Jeff Daubenmire and organist Joshua Brodbeck will play an afternoon of piano and organ duets. The program will include favorite hymns and familiar pieces.
Sunday, October 29, 4:00 pm – The Reformation celebration will continue with a four hands/four feet recital. The concert will feature pieces based on hymns by reformers of the church.
Sunday, December 3, 4:00 pm – The Brass Band of Columbus will offer their annual Christmas program.
Sunday, February 4, 4:00 pm – Tyler Robertson, organist of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Upper Arlington, will showcase the many sounds of the Schantz organ.
Sunday, March 11, 4:00 pm – Art collector John Kohan and organist Joshua Brodbeck will present a concert of art and music. John specializes in religious art of the 20th century.
Sunday, April 15, 4:00 pm – Handbells Columbus will present their Spring concert that will showcase many interesting techniques on handbells. There will also be musical pieces for bells and organ.
The Concert originally scheduled for May 13 has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Friday, June 8, 7:00 pm – Patron Concert – A private concert for the financial contributors to the concert series, the patron concert will feature special artists including Artist-in-Residence Joshua Brodbeck. A special reception will follow. Unfortunately, Swiss organist and composer Lionel Rogg is no longer able to perform due to an unforeseen health issue.
This excellent concert series is made possible through free will offerings received at the concerts and by the generous support of patrons. Tax-deductible contributions of any amount are greatly appreciated and help support the arts in our church and community.
